Issues updating android SDK tools- Access denied to rename directory

Hi

Recently I wrote article about error issues occur when I try to update the android SDK platform

 Again I got the below error when try to update

Failed to rename directory C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools to C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\temp\PlatformToolPackage.old01.

This Error occurs due to access denied to access the file

Then I resolve the issues by following the below steps:

Steps to resolve:

Just Right click Android batch file in –AndroidSDk-Tools folder

Run as Administrator-Then it will never show any error, and then latest platform would be updated.

Another Steps

Most of users  in community site are told the below steps to resolve the issues, But it’s not work for me.Just try if you want, might it will work in your case..

1. Close eclipse

2. Open command prompt got o android sdk folder in command prompt (in administrator mode)

3. Open tools folder in command prompt.

4. Run Android.bat file

If you got the above issues try above two methods…surely it will solve your issues…
